2019 will be 19 Years on the internet...We have since then been spreading the Creole Culture not only to America but World wide.. Since Our inception well over 2 million viewers have learned about Our Facinating Culture...It All began with a unexpected meeting with The Honorable Mr Gilbert Martin, My Creole Hero who taught Me more than I could Imagine about who we were..

I'm honored to have helped spread the word " Creole " to America and the World.. I am greatful to all who have viewed this site and My Videos and learned about their roots and to also those non Creoles that now know just who we are and what we represent...May we continue to spread the word so that the World will know that We and Our Culture is here to stay and will never disapear...

Thanks All ............................................. Augustine Comeaux

Creole by Definition

A...........Historically, the term Creole was documented by Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. In "The Inca", writing in the early 1600s, he said: "The name was invented by the Negroes... They use it to mean a Negro born in the Indies, and they devised it to distinguish those who come from this side and were born in Guinea from those born in the New World....

B...........Another version states that the term Creole (Spanish -- Criollo) was introduced in 1590. It derived from the Latin word “crear”, which meant, “create.” In 1590, Father J. de Acosta decided that the mixed breeds born in the New World were neither Spanish, African, Indian, but various mixtures of all three, thus a created race. So he identified them as "Criollos".

The Spanish copied them by introducing this word to describe those born in the New World, and in this way both Spaniards and Guinea Negroes are called criollo if they were born in the New World."

After Years of Struggling for the true meaning Wikipepia has Re-defined the Word after being presented with documentation

What Does Creole mean to Us ??

More than once in ongoing discussion regarding the meaning of the word “Creole,” it has been remarked by some pithy yet insightful party that “anyone who is compelled to ask what a Creole is, is most definitely not one himself.”

Outside observers tended to identify as Creoles only those very fair-complexioned colored people of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast whose manners, customs, and heritages were overwhelmingly Gallic.

This definition tends to limit the definition of Creoles to mulattoes or mixed-race people which is an egregious error, which accounts for mulatto or mixed-race people in a variety of cities and regions being labeled as Creole, when in fact they are not.

This definition completely eliminates the presence of white persons who identified and were identified as Creoles.A. E. Perkins, as quoted above, correctly culls the fact that Creole is an identifier which traditionally transcended the pitiable racial caste system. Creole was a cultural identifier and an attestation of heritage.

Your Culture Needs You back ...Creoles take heed

Being Creole is most indeed something to be proud of ... There is nothing like it in the Whole Wide World...Our Louisiana Creole Ancestors have paved the way for Us to continue in their achievements...They have done so much for America , for the Black and White Races and more than enough for Our Society as a whole...

They have been the first of their kind in Politics, are responsible for settling many of Americas Major Cities,, Have brought Jazz to America, have made Our Delicious Creole Cuisine among the Worlds finest...Are one of the very few People that speak a Romantic Language ( Creole )..Have internationalized Our Heritage and are one of the very few People that share similar Cultures World wide and through the military efforts of Our Ancestors helped preserve Americas independence..

If Fact more than a third of American soil belonged to Our French/ Creole Nation before the sale of Louisiana By Napoleon...just to name a few...What more can You ask for.and yet We continue to achieve despite the hateful and hostile attitudes of others that wished We didn't exist ..Please Do Your part to help preserve Your Rich Creole Heritage ...Saying You are Creole means nothing if You don't support Your Creole Culture..

.Do something that will help preserve Your Creole Heritage so the future generations can stand proud to call themselves Creole as well..Do Your part to continue in the steps of Your Ancestors ..Being proud to be Creole should be in deeds and not just talk..Let's get it together...
